Individual cables and cable sheaths

If there is no ready-made cable harness, one reaches for the individual cable. In other words, stranded wire, as the vehicle electrician says. Stranded wires are also suitable for patching and supplementing existing wiring harnesses.

What kind of cables are there?

Modern cables (single wires) are coated with PVC for insulation. They are available in various diameters and standardized colors. We also stock them with the original Harley-Davidson color coding and American diameter. For the old-style look, we still have some with the classic cotton wrap over the PVC jacket.

Insulating and jacketing

To arrange individual cables into strands and harnesses, insulating tape and fabric tape are of course a good choice. Where cable harnesses branch out, tape is still the best solution. To make distance, i.e. for 50 cm wiring harness to the tail light or through the ape hanger, heat shrink tubing is the faster way. If you want it to be really durable and abrasion-resistant, you take fabric sleeves, with or without bitumen content.
