Sealed Beam Inserts for Ø 5-3/4” Headlights
Glass, reflector and light bulb inseparably combined in one unit: the sealed beam headlights invented in 1939 were mandatory in the US from 1940-1983, at least for cars, and were standard on Harleys from 1948. Older designs such as the Springer headlight on the Harley have separate parts instead, and in some cases the bulb even had to be positioned with an adjusting screw. Also, the reflector had to be checked regularly for rust, as there was often moisture inside due to inadequate seals. The sealed beam insert put an end to all this.

SpeedFire LED Inserts for Ø 5-3/4” Headlights
SpeedFire LED Inserts for Ø 5-3/4” Headlights
These LED inserts show that you can maintain traditional optics and still emphasize your headlights nicely. Clear polycarbonate lenses and a chrom-coloured edging mark the appearance, whereas high quality LEDs, high luminous power and clearly marked light and shade borders are the inner values of these inserts. And of course a considerably extended lifespan, compared to filament bulbs.

TOP is where TOP is written

Headlight inserts are marked, be it with TOP or OBEN or simply by the course of the inscriptions on the glass. In any case, ready-made headlight inserts with reflector, bulb holder, diffusing lens etc. are only available for round lamp housings. For all other shapes there are only individual lenses and reflectors, all parts sell separately.

So here it's all about the round headlight inserts, in 3-1/2" to 7" glass diameter, for fitting with incandescent bulbs from the ole P15d to H4 and H7 or even full LED versions of SpeedFire.

You guys write 5-3/4" in the shop. I need a headlight insert with 153 mm! So what will fit for me?

Quite likely a 5-3/4. The stupid, nasty (call it what you want) thing is that with 4-1/2", 5-3/4", 7" always only a so-called nominal diameter is given for the glass part from which the light exits. Edge areas, bonding, etc. are not taken into account. The exact diameter of the headlight insert is given with the respective article.
